Porto Seguro Call Centre
Libeskindllovet was commissioned by Porto Seguro, a Brazilian Insurance Company, to design a building for its growing team of Services Operators. The designers worked within zoning restrictions that limited intensity of land use, building height, building site coverage, as well as required existing trees to be kept. The proposed solution was able to benefit the client, maximizing the allowed construction, by applying a special legislation that exchanged public-use of private land for additional built area. To be granted such benefits by the municipal panel, the geometry of the building was conceived to emphasize the public vocation of its site. The design centralizes the business program in a tower and frees most of the ground level to public use with open gardens and a public-operated Venue.
